Pentagon Memorial Lit Up at Night

Pentagon-memorial-web

The Pentagon Memorial is designed so that the nation may remember and reflect on the events that occurred on September 11, 2001. The Memorial will be free and open to the public seven days a week.

The photo is a time-exposure; the streak in the sky is a plane taking off from Reagan National Airport. Each of the lit benches represents a person who was killed in the event, whether on the plane or on the ground. Learn more about the Memorial at http://www.whs.mil/memorial/
